History:
1964 - Opens as Valleycast near downtown Appleton with 16 production employees
1968 – Company merges with Albany International Corporation
1980 - Company becomes 'Cast Wire Division' of Albany International, expanding 50% during the recession
1983 - Acquired by Charthouse Group with focus on "quality & service"
1985 – Acquired by Outokumpu Copper
1990 – Expands with second plant built in Kimberly
2006 – Acquired by Luvata
2010 – Expands with third plant in Kimberly
2017 – Acquired by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (founded 1871)

Luvata Appleton offers different production shifts:
Rotating Shifts:
- Two and three shift weekly rotations
- Monday through Friday with overtime on Saturdays
Swing Shift:
- Similar to a 'southern swing'
- Two weekends off per month
- 'Long weekend' every four weeks, five days off
Pay Rates:
- Time and a half: Monday-Friday over 8 hours worked & Saturdays
- Double time: Sundays

Luvata Ohio is located in Delaware, Ohio just north of Columbus. We currently have roughly 100 people on our team. We think Luvata Ohio is a great place to work. Our motto:

We manufacture welding electrodes. They are the little copper 'finger tips' that are used in automotive robotic welding. Our customers include nearly every major automotive manufacturer in the world. In addition to electrodes, we also manufacture other welding accessories such as adapters and shanks in addition to high precision formed parts such as contacts and connectors.

- Header Operators
- Machine Operators
- Machine Setup

- First shift is 8am - 4pm
- Second shift is 4pm - 12 midnight
- Third shift is 12 midnight - 8 am.
We offer a 5% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Luvata Pori sijaitsee Kupariteollisuuspuiston alueella Porin Metallikylässä.
Kupariteollisuuspuisto on 100 hehtaarin kokoinen teollisuuspuisto Kokemäenjoen varrella Porissa. Kupariteollisuuspuistossa toimii useita kansainvälisiä yrityksiä sekä niiden yhteistyökumppaneita ja alihankkijoita, jotka tarjoavat alansa huippuosaamista. Henkilöstöä alueella on yhteensä noin 1 400. Luvata Pori työllistää noin 350 oman alansa osaajaa.
Luvatan tuotteisiin kuuluvat hitsauselektrodit sekä hitsauslangat autoteollisuudelle, suprajohtavat langat ja kaapelit, joita käytetään mm. magneettikuvauslaitteissa, virrankeräysnauhat aurinkovoimateollisuudelle; seoslangat elektroniikkateollisuudelle sekä happivapaat kuparituotteet, kuten virtakiskot ja profiilit energian tuotantoon ja jakeluun.
Luvata Porin historia:
1939 - Tehtaan rakennustyöt alkavat
1940 - Tehdas (Outokumpu Oy) aloittaa toimintansa
1960 - Tehtaan nimi muuttui Outokumpu Oy:n Porin tehtaiksi
1989 - Outokumpu yhtiöitti kuparituoteteollisuuden ja Porin tehtaista tuli Poricopper Oy
2005 - Outokumpu myi kupariliiketoiminnan Nordic Capitalille
2006 - Nimi vaihtui Luvataksi
2011 - Valssaamoliiketoiminto myydään saksalaiselle Aurubis AG:lle
2017 - Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ostaa Luvatan Erikoistuoteliiketoiminnon
