Luvata in Zhongshan, China produces superconducting wire for special magnets, including those used in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems. We have over 100 people on our team in Zhongshan.
Zhongshan is located in the subtropical zone of Guandong (formerly Canton) province. Four main cities, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau are all about 50-60 km from us.
Thanks to superconducting wires, MRI scanners are becoming more and more powerful, enabling quicker higher resolution images - at a lower cost.
